Walking safaris described on this program is a long day walking tour which starts at North East of Ngorongoro crater at Olmoti crater with Beautiful Munge Falls to Lake Natron. the walk goes through the flat and downhill which suitable for stronger people and Kids of 10 Years old, we walk a maximum of 20km for about 7-8 hours including water stops wildlife Observation and Lunch. Being in walking safaris you will get a nature experience, meeting with the local Maasai who lives in this areas heading their livestock, beautiful landscape, open grasslands and hills, including famous mountains Kilimanjaro in the far distance, Oldonyo Lengai (the Holly Mountain for the Maasai) just like you can touch the top, Views of the Great rift valley, the beautiful Lakes such as Empakaai crater and Lake Natron with Pink Flamingos. On the walking safari you will be accompanied by a professional walking guide who knows and born in these areas, he will show you the animals track and smaller creatures that you will never see when you are sitting in the car, also learning Botanical and Birding is the best experience ever. Here there is no road access to Lake Natron, so we will hire donkeys to carry our camping equipment and food for 3 days.

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International airport, you will be met and transferred to Arusha Coffee Lodge for an overnight bed and breakfast. If you arrive early you can have the best time visiting different places around Arusha town like the local Maasai market, curios shops, coffee plantation tour and the Tanzanite museum.

Day 02: Ngorongoro To Olmoti

After Breakfast, drive from Arusha to Ngorongoro Conservation after the registration, you drive through the highland forest to the descending road to Ngorongoro crater for the game drive, the Ngorongoro crater its the six largest calderas in the world and most impressive for the large population of wildlife living here all the year-round, its also called the garden of wildlife in the world. Here you can see the black mane lion, leopard, big tusks Elephant, cheetah, Buffalos, Black Rhino, gazelle and hundreds of wildebeest or White-bearded Gnu and zebras. afternoon exit the crater to Nainokanoka village, here you will meet your Maasai guide who will take you for the short trek up to Olmoti crater and down to munge falls, munge it’s the Maasai words for the black and white colobus monkey. Day 3: Olmoti To Empakaai

When the sky clears you can see Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru in the far distance. Stay overnight at Empakaai Special campsite.

Day 4: Empakaai Via Naiyobi Village To Acacia Camp

After breakfast, you take a walk down to Empakaai crater, the view from here down into the crater is stunning. The steep inner walls are densely forested and drop to the flat crater floor, which is partly submerged under a lake, often surrounded by huge flocks of flamingos. This is home for the Buffaloes, baboon bushbuck, turacos, sunbirds, crows and birds of prey. Exit the crater and continuing on your trek to Naiyobi village, NAIYOBI its Maasai words for cold place. Stay overnight at Acacia camp.

Day 5: Acacia Camp To Engaresero

During 9 Days Luxury Walking Safari And Cultural Tour, From Naiyobi you follow paths through beautiful grassy hills and patches of light woodland, along a ridge running parallel to the main Rift valley. At the midnight you will drive to the base of the mountain, here you will start to walk up to lengai reach the top around 6am. there are two craters upon the summit one is active and the second is dormant, you can look down on the crater and see steam outlets and the growing cones of volcanic ash. Enjoy the sunrise behind the two peaks, the Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru, you descend down before the heat of the day, drive back to your camp, lunch, rest and in the afternoon walk up to the gorge to visit the waterfalls. Stay overnight at Oldonyo lengai campsite.

Day 7: Lake Natron

After breakfast, you will take a walk to follow the Maasai cattle trails leave the Maasai settlement behind. The lake Natron it’s home to the pink flamingos and Greater flamingos, it’s the breeding site for the flamingos in East Africa. Stay overnight at Oldonyo lengai camp.

Day 8: A Long Drive Back To Arusha

After breakfast, you will take a walk to follow the Maasai cattle trails leave the Maasai settlement behind. The lake Natron it’s home to the pink flamingos and Greater flamingos, it’s the breeding site for the flamingos in East Africa. Stay overnight at Oldonyo lengai camp.

Day 9: Departure

After Leisure breakfast, have a visit to Arusha city, afternoon drive to Airport.
